Abstract

Abstrak: Pendidikan multikultural merupakan pendekatan penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif di tengah masyarakat yang semakin beragam. Artikel ini membahas tantangan-tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasi pendidikan multikultural, seperti prasangka sosial, kurikulum yang kurang inklusif, keterbatasan kompetensi guru, dan ketimpangan sosial-ekonomi. Di sisi lain, artikel ini juga menawarkan strategi-solusi untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut, antara lain melalui penguatan kurikulum, pelatihan guru, penciptaan budaya sekolah yang terbuka, serta keterlibatan masyarakat. Pendidikan multikultural diharapkan mampu menjadi pondasi dalam membentuk generasi yang toleran, adil, dan menghargai perbedaan. Melalui komitmen semua pihak, pendidikan multikultural dapat menjawab tantangan keberagaman sekaligus memperkuat integrasi sosial.
